Vom Handwerksbetrieb zum
Camping-Spezialisten
Our story begins in 1989. That’s when our family business was founded under the name Car Inside as a traditional automotive upholstery shop. High-quality materials, precise craftsmanship, and customized solutions have been at the heart of our work from the very beginning.
What began as a small craft business has evolved over the years into a company that today stands for high-quality camping and expedition solutions. The name Camp Impuls perfectly captures what drives us: inspiring people to get out into nature, discover new places, and enjoy their personal freedom.

How a Passion Led to Camp Impuls
Our camping adventure began in 2006 on a personal level with a Dethleffs trailer. When our oldest child outgrew the bunk bed in 2014, we switched to a rooftop tent. At the campgrounds, this solution—which was still unusual at the time—generated a lot of interest. We recognized the potential and began selling roof tents as a distribution partner for James Baroud. Later, we successfully established Hero Camper on the German market. As demand for freedom, nature, and independent travel grew, we gradually expanded our product range. Today, our product range includes, among other things, roof tents and awnings from The Bush Company, awnings and winches from Carbon Offroad, mounting systems from Racksbrax, and accessories from Front Runner. Our focus on rugged Australian products ultimately led to a partnership with Bruder, a manufacturer of high-quality expedition trailers.
Equipment That Really Works
We only sell products that we’ve tested ourselves, would use ourselves, and are confident in. That’s why, over time, we’ve deliberately stopped carrying brands that no longer met our standards. For us, what matters isn’t whether a product is particularly inexpensive or well-known. It must work reliably and be built for its intended purpose—from roof tents to winches and expedition trailers.
We don't want to sell gear that merely promises an adventure. We want to offer solutions that enable our customers to actually experience their adventures.
